Reprieve/Short story of flashbacks yay!

Even monsters need breaks from the on-going chaos, slaughter and mayhem, I'm no exception that sometimes I crave nothing more than peace and quiet. I left without a word with those memories and flashbacks crowding in my head, the things remembered far too human for my own liking. I destroyed my own humanity, it still insists that it is there. Emotions...

Devotion
Loyality
Wrath
Envy
Pride
Hate
Love
Care
Affection

The last three don't really fit in with a demon, but such things happen and sometimes more regularly than the race allows you to think. I doubt I will be missed much in my departure, there are a few who I wish would miss me. That is like asking a mountain to get up and walk, it's just not going to happen no matter how much you wish it. Besides my head is full, full of things I don't want to recall.
~~~
London... over the years she had been away from this city, it hadn't really changed at all. The people were different there was more humans around than anything else, always moving and milling about like ants looking for food. It didn't seem to matter where she went in this world, the blue demoness always ended up in polluted air and walking on dirty streets. With an oof she shoved her left shoulder against a wall, leaning on it from the fact her weakened body couldn't hold her up. Dragging herself along on her clawed feet to find a dark place to hide away in, sound of spikes scraping on bricks a horrid screeching noise. Darkness always seeking darkness, for how long now had she sought to hide from light?
"Hhhnnn I don't want... don't want to remember"!!!! Grasping her clawed hands in to her hair, stumbling til she fell to her knees in a place she had lived since been five. A non descript alleyway with a dead end to help shield against weather, damn the place still had their makeshift tent they built together. Pathetic. She crawled in to it though curled up on the ground, her tail coiling about her ankles as she went in to the fetal position. Sleep... That sounded good right about now.
~~~
A male voice woke her from her slumber, "Misato, Misato wake up already! If we don't get a move on we won't get any food at all today, you've started to get really lazy".

There came a grunt of acknowledgement as the male's companion rolled over under the dirty blankets, followed by "Five more minutes" but it was hard to tell. When the tickling began she was wide awake and laughing, "Alright damn it! I'm up sheesh Partak, you sure know how to ruin a good sleep".

"Serves ya right", he responded sticking his tongue out. Partak is an albino though that has never really stopped him in life, he's kind, good natured and a little more mature than his twin sister. The twin in question is a slender well formed woman, her hair is what made her a freak its a dark blue to match her sapphire eyes.

These two are the Darkes twins the only lone survivors from a demon attack, their parents brutally murdered in front of them by an unknown demoness. When they could see past the grief, Partak would often tease his sister that the demon looked a lot like her. Of course she would just call him silly and to stop joking around like that, in response he tended to laugh at the faces she made at him when she said. Partak Darkes and Misato Blueray Darkes, she preferred Blueray or just Blue.

"Agenda for the day"? She asked. Getting out from under the blakents to retreat further in to the alley, to do her bathroom routine and you can imagine what that is like without an actual bathroom. Street kids couldn't complain or fault their luck, they made do with what they had and made use of what they got.

Partak leaned against a nearby wall with his arms folded over his chest, he half pouted his lips as he thought or tried not to think of his sister in a perverted manner. Not that either of them knew their thoughts were taboo, all they had were eachother. "Hmm first we hit the regular joints for free food, if they got nothing its to the skips you know that".

"I know, I'm keeping you on your toes is all".

"Hmph".

Blueray walks up to him kissing first his cheek then his lips, "Aww don't be like that, it makes you look sexy".

"You are a tease", he smiles wrapping his arms around her.
~~~
Clasping a hand to the side of his face he keeps the torn flesh in place, blood welling around his fingers to drip upon the ground. He stood in front of his sister to defend her, his left arm outstretched to make a human barricade. Beast in front of them wasn't human nor it was a demon, it was a full grown raging lycan that attacked them.
"GET OUT OF HERE"! Yelling at her to escape.
"No I can't lose you too, I won't leave you". Gritting her flat teeth together, her hands clenching in to fists. She was the fighter not him, he didn't need to do this. She didn't need saving...
~~~
The days simply meld in to one until she no longer remembered what day was what, since that night a few years ago she'd been alone. No matter how hard she searched for her twin, she couldn't find him at all. Night after night she listened to the night sing to her, she could hear it now because the lycan bite had changed her. Changed them both. How long had she been walking along like this? Blood on her hands and matted black fur? How many had she killed? They deserved to die, they tried to kill her first without knowing what she is. Idiots. Moronic humans... how she despised them.
~~~
Ugh this boat is terrible she wished it would stop rocking all over the place, tossing up more of her stomach contents over the side with a wretched hhrrrkkkk noise. If she known she was going to be sea sick she would have never deicded to get on this ferry, some of the Drow she met were being really kind. Apparently only certain Drow are nice like they are, the rest are a bunch of ruthless murderers. They were teaching her how to speak their language, while looking after her once she finished upchucking. It's a long journey to Toxia she would get sea legs eventually, she got told a few of them were the same the first week or two.
~~~
"I want some potatos, gravy, green beans, chicken annnnnnnd a glass of milk", she beamed up at her mother from sitting on the floor. She was playing with her wooden blocks, her brother was beside her doing some colouring. Their mother was cooking dinner for them, their father was outside working the fields and checking up on all their livestock.

Mother hums cheerily, "Mhm alright kiddo, you forgot the magic word".

"Now"?

"Brat", she laughed ruffling up her daughter's dark blue hair. "Try again".

Pouting up at her mother, she huffs but she wasn't really annoyed. "Please"!!

Lifting one finger in to the air mother grins at her two children, "Much better, dinner is ready in a few minutes so go get washed up".

~~~
"I don't... want to... remember, I hate the light", mumering from under those dirty blankets as she turns on to her side. Even in sleep the flashbacks didn't stop, it had to stop soon or she would go mad. Forgetting that she is mad already due to her demon blood, the light of humanity threatened her and thus she sought to bury herself further in to the shadows of that make-shift tent.
Trying not to linger on the images, trying to forget. Trying to kill her humanity, that constantly seems to return. Damning her soul for all eternity, the soul she died to get rid of.
Re-live the nightmare
DanteInferno. The bane of my past existance, one of the two wolves who shoved me along this path of shadow.
He dared to return to Toxia to taunt me for the crimes commited against me, he dared to allow another fight me when I wanted his head on a platter. Dante was beaten by Delrith ever the stick in my cog of plans, yet today he was a blessing in disguise but I couldn't leave without closure. A closure that I never got as I burnt up the body parts Dante returned to me, a closure that will never happen as I threw my fire of rage at him.
Dante: You just couldn't leave it alone could you?
Blueray: Call it a parting gift
Dante: In that case... this is a parting gift.
Oh Lucifer if I never had to have heard those words, what I would fucking do not to have heard him speak at all. When my tormenter left his pet cat stayed to tell me, that I will never kill Dante not while I hated so much. I let them both go, I didn't have a choice. The world around me was no longer there, I didn't see the path I took even as I stumbled home. He left me to re-visit what he had done to me, the vision the pain the internal break down.
~
Myriam handed the leash over to a Pack member she had found, she was speaking how they might appreciate the gift of a Shadow associate. The wolf nodded wrapping the leash around his hand as he yanked it to make me stumble forward, he replied he was grateful that the traitor was now in their hands. All I did was glare at them all with my hands binded in front of me, and my muzzle taped shut with the ducktape to prevent me from using my fangs. The wolf who then dragged me as I dug my heels in, I learned he was called Dante and mated to Quillis. The other wolf behind me shoved his hands in to my back as I fought to stay in place, I stumbled and that gave Dante time to pull me along. He took me to the dungeon.
I was thrown in to the stocks with no care to my body at all, my hands untied so I could be imprisoned in the thing. He tore the tape off my muzzle ripping off fur and whiskers, I snarled in response my fangs on show those deadly tools. He offered me food and water but despite my hunger and thirst I refused his offerings, I simply asked him to let me go that I was no use to him. Dante laughed saying he would tell Quillis of the Ryder gift to the Pack, and what ever she orders he will do. He got closer to my face and I threw myself best I could against the stocks, my shoulders got bashed I could feel the bruisings. I was trying to bite him but he backed up to avoid me, his right fist soon connected with the side of my head. A sharp yelp since it hurt and I grew silent, the world was black for a few blissful moments I had peace.
He woke me up though so I could know what he was doing to me, he had pulled out a knife to cut away my clothes to make me naked. Standing behind me he viewed me placing a finger between my thighs, he noted I wasn't a virgin but I was still un-used in the long run still tight. I lifted up my left leg and kicked him in the stomach, Dante then got some string and tied my ankles to the stocks base. Everytime I struggled the string bit in to my flesh causing me to bleed, I stopped moving and he left me there.
All night, all day. Dante returned to the dungeon that night, I was tired, hungry and dehydrated. All in all I should have had no strength at all to fight back, I was informed that Quillis had ordered him to rape and torture me to break my spirit. He said he would free me only if I became his bitch, and answered to his every whim and order whenever however. I refused I even refused offers of food and water. He watched me carefully while he waited for another Pack member, one that went under the name Keiko who I had seen around before. They both stood in front of me and I snapped at them, in order to stop me from biting Dante put some tube in my muzzle to keep it open. I shoved myself forwards cutting open my shoulders on the wood, the string cut deeper in to my ankles lacerating the muscles and tendons. With my maw kept open Keiko shoved his cock in there to get it hard, I choked on it snarled around it trying to bite while Dante sat on a throne and simply watched. He then ordered the wolf to rape me perhaps my cunt or my ass, Keiko agreed saying he could get harder in either one of my holes.
Dante: Oh and leave your sperm in there
There was nothing done to ease the passage of wolf dick being shoved in to a place that is normally an exit, Keiko had one hand around my tail and another on my waist as he thrust in to me with gusto. He was enjoying this too much enjoying my violation, he pulls out once he came and buries himself in to my pussy forcing himself in. Dante was soon by my side with a dagger in hand, he meticousily made cuts in to my body then he rubbed salt in to them. I screamed best I could with a stuffed up maw, but the sound was muffled so it was removed so they could hear me scream. While Keiko continued to rape me he was given a buttplug covered in barbed wire, it ripped and tore my anus slicing it open the blood ran freely down my thighs. A healing spell was cast it only half healed the injuries, Kishi was here now simply sitting and watching the two work. The buttplug was taken out so that Keiko could take that hole again, a dildo far too big to be inside was placed where he was once. He fucked me without mercy while I cried, Dante mashed that plastic monster in and out so large was it that it pulverised my insides.
Eventually the violation was done with after the two forced me to suck them off, I spat out their semen in retaliation they cut off my ears. The dungeon was raided Krazzy had come to get me out, there had been a few Shadows come and go but none of them stayed like Kishi had. I was almost broken I just stared blankly shuddering in agony, Dante ignored those around him and slashed off my tail then he carved in to my back. His knife went from between my shoulders to cut down to each of my sides, to the base of my spine and sever off a mass of my fur and flesh from the middle of my back. He threw it to the floor where it splatted in a sickening sound, he warned Krazzy and Ryders to stay back as he poured salt on to the fresh open wound. Krazzy hellbent on getting me free attacked the two rapists, and Dante soon had a mallet in his hands and smashed my ankles eliciting more agnoised howls from me. I was grafetul no more than grateful to the pill I recieved from Kishi that knocked me out, I awoke barely sane in a hospital bed shaking, crying and uttering the words that I will die before I will break.
I re-lived the whole thing inside my head, in vivid recreation that my nightmares lacked. I could feel the pain of all that had happened to me, and my mind was breaking from the torment. Delrith spared me though after all that I have done to him he spared me, releasing me from the personal Hell I had been placed in to. I won't ever say it to his face though, but I thank him for his small mercy.
Toxian torment
A post of various short accounts
For the times I spent not seen in the city, I was hidden away or just sleeping. I had been severly disappointed by this place, I was no better off here than I was back at home. Good thing is I would most likely make a splash in this place, and I wasn't sure where to start to be sure.
I mean come on I was already capable of living on the streets, I just needed to figure out where I could go and what I could do. Rumours on the street is that there is a werewolf Pack, I decided I should try to get in to it as I longed for my own kind. To learn of what we are, and to learn their ways.
~Pack~
Somehow it was easy to get in to the Pack, they tested me on fighting skills. I never really fought much with a sword before, I did poorly but I passed the intelligence test and got good reference from Quiet. A female I had met in the city on one of my many wanderings learning the layout of the place, it was her who suggessted I go to see Fist the Pack beta. With the short time I was in the Pack, I never actually felt I belonged there at all with them all. My suscipions were justified when the word Shadows, began my inquistive nature to find out more about them. I used the Pack to my own benefit as I gathered information, and when ever needed I showed my loyality was to them no matter how false it was. The Pack a group of werewolves with broken ranks, a group with a smaller group in its core. Its that small group that caused some of my troubles, its that small group that makes the Pack rot on the inside.
~Janvier~
Not long after I had become a Pack member I was outside the Voodoo shop, I had tried taunting Kishi due to earlier encounters with her and the fact she insulted me and Narah. It was while the Coven members and other people were gathered outside that Janvier walked up, a demon of black skin, red eyes and white hair that made him appear like a demonic Drow. A demon in the city, I could tell he was he had horns and a tail. I felt myself cringe on the inside at his presence, and the rememberance it was a demon that killed my parents. Janvier appeared to be a great being yet incrediably sad, he used to rule the Shadows but they had all scattered now as the House had fallen. When he left I trailed behind him as my curiousity was the only thing making me follow him, he turned around to face me asking me why I couldn't let a father mourn his lost children in peace. I asked him questions and he answered.
Janvier: The Shadows were my children I had rised them
Blueray: So why not just rise them again?
Janvier: I rised them once it is someone elses turn now
Blueray: If you did it once then you can do it again, why leave something that important in the hands of another?
We were interrupted when a demon tailed man dropped down in front of Janvier, the two conversed and the demon walked off as I learnt he does often. The one who remained spoke to me very little, yet told me to keep safe and I replied to him until our paths cross again.
~Shadows~
Few days later Shadows began appearing again, and I had the good fortune to meet one. He wanted to become a demon and required certain items to do so, vampire fangs, werewolf drool and cyberblood. As I was still in the Pack I had to be careful when and where I met this Shadow, my group hated their guts and yet none had any good reason other than the fact to say Shadows are evil. It was also during this time Kumori joined us and I made certain to get all the information I needed from her, she spoke like she was terrified of her old family as she called them. I was told of all the things they had done and can do, still my curiousity was not sated and I required more. Since Kumori was an ex Shadow or so she claimed to be, I became fast friends not just because of what she was but because her life story was one that made my heart cry out to her. The Shadow led me to a vampire called Pieter, he was the demon tailed man I had met before and he is a Shadow. During our talk there was rumour that vampires were seeking more space, and since Pack had already scuffled with some Kindred Alliance members I went to tell Quillis. Quillis our alpha was fed the lines that KA might take over the Pack den in order to accomadate their new members, the whole thing was believable and she fell for it hook, line and sinker. It was after the blood drive at the Hospital and I had helped to steal some Cyber blood, that I stood beside my alpha while some Shadows declared they wanted a member as a slave. Strange things.
~Associate~
I had begun feeding information what I considered important to the Shadows via Pieter, I had various conversations with the vampire and he had called me smarter than my fellows. It was such a time I was speaking with Pieter that one Pack member found me, he accused me of being a Shadow spy and thus jeapordised my safety. I ended up leaving the Pack specially since I got ordered to not go seeking Kumori, who I heard had also left and was severly injured. She of course had returned to the Shadows, and I wanted to join them in doing so have a family. Over many weeks I spent my time getting to know the members, handing in information on various things and learning that my sadistic streak was growing. Where ever there were Shadows I would be there beside them, it soon became well known over the city I was associated with them. They grew to accept and like me in turn I enjoyed their company, until I got banned from the Pit I learnt much of the rotten core of the Pack. I yearned to learn, so I swallowed it all.
~Myriam~
If there ever was a thorn in my side it was the vampire Myriam, it was Myriam who captured me. Myriam who taped my muzzle shut, Myriam who dragged me through the city, and it was Myriam who handed me to the Pack. Myriam who declared me a danger to the city, and Myriam who tried and failed twice to end my life. After all of this I must thank her, for without her I wouldn't be who I am today. Thanks babe!
~Pain~
Under the administrations of Pack I was given pain, when was I taken from them Myriam gave me more pain. I laid upon the hospital bed barely healed and unable to defend myself, she stabbed me in the chest with a dagger in a bid to kill me. Without bothering to check whether I lived she leashed me again, and dragged me on my front back to the Pack den since my ankles were smashed. Once again the Shadows came and Kumori took me to the Pit where I could begin to start a recovery, after a few days I was fully healed yet ended up getting stabbed again. Myriam struck me in the shoulder with a dagger made of silver intent on ending my life, I wasn't even prepared to fight I was at the hospital because Kumori was hurt. Good thing I was in the hospital, I left when Janvier showed up to mark the vampire. She began her screeching that I was dangerous for the City, I just smiled and left her to her fate with the Shadows. Strange they always show up.
~Family~
I eventually got accepted in to the ranks of the Shadows by Janvier himself, I tried to keep the fact hidden from those I called friend. In the end I turned on them drawing my weapons, they were Righteous and I no longer had need of them. I have my family now I bleed for them and die for them, just as I vowed to do before I became one of them.
Fresh meat
This is not a place for the unprepared, this is not a place for innocent and pure. Lucky for me I already had street smarts, and I could easily find myself a meal or make a niche I can fill in. There is a sort of thrill that goes through the air when new arrivals enter the dark city, I myself have felt it thrum through the air. New ones make the city send out a silent call that only residents seem to answer to, newcomers at the docks come get the fresh meat.
At the time that was what I was, nothing more than new blood a new victem. My first stop was at the local bar, a place called Haven apprently of neutral ground where no violence happened. Dance poles held a new enjoyment for me, I never seen one before and never before had I been able to just walk in to a bar without being thrown out for being a tramp. So I indulged. Using the pole to perform the dances that I often used to earn me change, had attracted me some attention from the patrons. They seemed like regulars here all with haunted looks, their eyes held a history of pain. Its why they are here after all. With the tips I earnt I was able to get rid of my tattered clothes, for an outfit that was newer and more appropriate for my new start.
Lets see how this place deals with the new bitch in town.
The ferry
The ocean is a mass of water I never hoped to cross great distances over again, yet I have started spending time viewing it. I try to visit the mainland to either shop or search for my twin, but always always in vain do I look. Ocean you carried me to this new life, and I thank whatever being that presides over your rule.
There are myths and legends told where I haunted, stories only for campfire tellings really. Toxian City a place forgotten by most of mankind vieled in obscurity, where law and morals have no meaning for the people there live as they wish. The homeless, the poor and the outcasts like myself wanted a better life, I being all three of these things wished nothing more than a better life.
For a while now I had not been alone for Ashura was forever by my side, but I craved something more than to just have a pet. I missed family that one thing I once had that meant anything, and had been wrecked back when I was a mere child. I learnt of things with Ashura that I otherwise would have never known, and they were fun things indeed I learnt well I gathered.
My wanderings while I begged for food and money in order to keep alive led me to the docks, I never really ventured out here there wasn't a point. My attention had been caught by a well dressed man, who was yelling at the top of his lungs with words that promised so much.
"A one way trip to Toxian City, come see the city of promises. A place where you can have a better life, a better future, all your dreams will come true just step aboard the ferry. No fee".
Okay so the better life and no fee had me hooked from the word go, I looked at Ashura he held on to my tattered clothes staring at me with his wide eyes. He didn't want me to go and he didn't want to leave what was familar, I knelt down in front of him and removed his collar. I swear he cried then all he knew was how to be a pet, but I had offered him freedom and now I thrust it upon him. I left him on the docks as I walked on to the ferry in my wolf form, people moved away from like they always did.
"Bloo", he called to me. Just as my footpaw had been placed on the ramp his arms were around my legs, I looked at him petted his head gave him a hug. "Don't go". My heart quailed he looked so sad, I shook my head telling him I needed to do this and what if my brother had already gone ahead. I let him go.
"Ashura when you have gained the courage, come follow me in to the unknown. Until then stay here get stronger, I'll be in Toxia waiting for you then I will take you back".
That was end of it really he stood on the dock watching me get on the ferry, I never looked back after that not even when I was on board. I didn't need to see the past I just wanted to leave it behind.
~~~
I never knew how badly a ferry moved upon the water, the constant up and down motion made me violenty sick. For days I was laid up in bed unable to keep anything down, my sickness wouldn't abate til I had gained some sea legs. When I was able to get up I felt extremely weak unsteady on my paws, there were a few kind people who helped me regain my strength and health.

Wandering around on the decks I found members of races I never thought possible, I went among them to learn what they were for we were in for a very long journey. Vampires, demons, cybers, angels, Drow, nekos/felines, mutants, supernaturals and of course werewolves like myself.

Over the travelling I had made friendships with a few Drow and a werewolf female, the Drow taught me their language and culture and I was a quick learner. The werewolf I hung around with was called Narah, and had a lot of fun making some sort of mischief but it was never too bad it was just for giggles. I never did know what happened to those Drow.
~~~
Arrival at Toxian City or Toxia as residents call it was uncermanious, the ramp dropped and we were herded off the ferry on to the docks. Upon seeing the state of the place we knew we had been tricked, this was not a city where dreams came true nor would life be any better here than it was where I had come from. The crowd turned surging to the ferry to try and get back on it, the ferryman had some sort of power that prevented anyone from boarding. No pass no trip back.
Narah and myself spent a few days together in the city, but she got sick from living so near to all the chemicals and toxins. In the end she found a way to get a pass to head back on the ferry, but it only takes you as far as the mainland not that she minded. I had met very few people from my few days, and when Narah left I was alone once again but this time in a city ungoverned and unlawed.
Stop looking at the sea least it swallow you in to its watery depths, for the grave it promises is nothing more than choking death.
The slave train
OOC: I know I've been slacking on my blog this week, sorry but real life calls me to it for the first time in two years
They called it a train.
That great metal beast longer than anything I've seen, its body in parts connected to one another by rubber intestines. It ran on wheels along metal tracks that seemed to confine its movements, every time it hurtled through the city station it would scream an unearthly noise unless it happened to stop. It would sit there making a sound like a large cat purring, though it was still it would be just as ready to launch itself forwards with smoke and screeching.
I hated trains.
A year after the gang slaying and I've retracted further from humans, my search for my brother was still on-going but now all signs of him were not to be found. I was giving up hope of ever seeing him again, until I found a crumpled note it said. “Don't worry about me, I'm alive and well”. Needless to say I kept searching, he was my only family.
I spent little time in the station as possible, I preferred the quiet of the graveyards and parks. Less people more nature, and with my animal instincts growing stronger I actually sought out natural areas. Humans such wretched creatures with no care but themselves, fat and greedy they devour everything with their mouths and eyes. They give no pity to those of their own who are less well off than they are, their souls are torpid and rotten they give off the stench of decay and living death. There are exceptions to every rule.
There was an accident at the city train station, a train had come off its tracks. The hurtling beast had twisted off the route, lurching on the concrete platform mowing down those who waited upon it. It was fire and smoke that drew me to the death trap, twisted metal with the air filling with the screams of dyeing and wounded. I jumped down to the wreckage more to see if there was anything useful than to help, as usual I was in my anthropic wolf form and my smell was a good help. Among the wreckage I found several humans manacled to one another, one of them wasn't human at all. I pulled him out in to the open as he smelt different from the others, he didn't seem to be hurt just in shock.
He was an anthropic cat all black and white like a domestic pet, I checked him over for any small injuries. Ashura was what he called himself, said he was a slave for the black market. To be honest I didn't even know such a trade still existed, but it did and he was up for sale at the next auction. I asked him if he ever knew what freedom was, he looked sadly at me as he shook his head with his ears going back. I took pity on him that poor little cat, I offered him freedom by breaking the chains that bound him by force.
However even though I told him to go and do what he wanted now, he trailed after me where ever I went. I told him I had no home or family and nothing at all to offer him, Ashura said he was rised to be a pet and knew no other life even if he is free. Maybe that's why I agreed to take him as my pet, to teach him the value of free will and choice.
Freedom is a valuable commodity!
The dark road
Some people say that certain events in life send them on the path they will follow in the future, and once you're upon it there is no turning back. I think this is where I started....
Summer had arrived in all of her yellow and orange glory, bringing various flower boxes that people owned to life. This type of year was always warm and full of sun, it made me happy just to be alive to enjoy such times. It reminded me that my brother and I had lasted the winter, our reward was the sun that shone down on us. Days like that made me burst in to dance I couldn't help myself, people would pass by or stop to watch my movements. We would put out our tip collection things, I was a self taught dancer it was if I had a music all my own and I had to let it out.
From my street performance we earned a lot of money, more than we had ever gotten before that we decided to buy a proper meal. It was also our birthday we were going to be twenty four years of age, we had survived from our young years to this day becoming street wise along the way. Taken our earnings we went to the nearby cheapest restuarant, we got us a table for two and looked at the menu happily. We order our meal succulent roast chicken, roast potatoes, peas, gravey, yorkshire pudding... Dessert we had this thing called cheesecake, I never knew food could taste so fucking good. Red wine, white wine, champagne, that day we were gluttons...
Wandering along the street to return to our shelter for the night, we heard a noise behind us like that of a large dog. We took no notice of it as it had nothing to do with us at all, the sun was setting colouring the sky with reds and purples. The large dog was trailing us we could hear it behind us all the way to our make shift home, only it wasn't a large dog at all and what we saw changed our lives. It stood upon two legs taller than a human, glowing yellow eyes, a maw full of fangs, two hands baring vicious claws.
Werewolf! The vicious fiend was foaming at the mouth, its grey fur patchy with what looked like disease.
Partak stood in front of me as the thing launched forwards unleashing a blood curdling howl, I couldn't believe it I should be the one fighting not him. I heard a scream I'm not sure if it was mine or his, my brother's blood sprayed to splatter allyway walls. The wolf had mauled him cut him open, fangs and claws used with no heed of what the permanent damage could be. He fell to his knees splashing in to a pool of his crimson fluid, he looked over his shoulder smiling like an angel. So innocent my twin he was going to say something to me, he collapsed and not caring for the danger I was at his side straight away. A claw struck my chest while fangs sunk in to my shoulder, crying to the sudden pain I lept from my brother to confront the beast. Yet nothing else happened, apart from the fact it howled while its yellow eyes rolled in to the back of its head. It keeled over unmoving with foam and blood pouring from its maw, I was going to help my brother but I blacked out.
By the time I came around it was morning, my eyes hurt my head hurt fuck everything hurt. Standing quickly I spun round to check on my twin to see if he actually lived, to my surprise he had vanished and so had the wolf corpse. I had been abandoned by the one person I spent the whole of my life with, he had to have had a reason for leaving me like this to leave me alone. My injuries had healed, I wondered why I showed no signs of a struggle from the previous night.
~~~
A year passes I have been searching for my twin in vain, everywhere I go it seems he has been there but is one step ahead. I discovered I can jump higher than ever before, my hearing is so acute I can hear a bee buzzing ten miles away. My eyesight has changed too I can see better but sometimes the colours of the world fade away, my sense of smell was another thing I found interesting. I can track anything or anyone over extreme distances, the best thing of all was my new found strength. Most of that year the time passed quickly as I hunted for Partak and got used to my new skills, I even healed better I found if I got injured I could rest three days and be perfectly fine again.

Nights in the city are lonely now I move shelters more than ever now, hoping to find him at least one of them I was sleeping at a different place every night. My my shelter for the night had become gang territory, I was unaware of this as I walked up to it with hands in the pockets of my tattered pants. A gang mainly consisiting of guys my own age were around me in a predatory circle, my instinct was to growl at them in warning which, made them laugh. Arrogant bastards! I could have stayed to fight them all specially with my strength, I decided I'd rather not hurt them all so I ran. Unfortunantly they followed with loud whooping calls, its odd to see humans hunt in a pack. A disorganised pack but they were one in every description of the word, they were hunting me thinking me to be nothing more than a helpless woman to do whatever they wanted to. I had fled in to a dead end and this is me for fucks sake I know this city, so how the fuck had I ended up in an ally that had no wall for me to leap over? Fuck knows but I was cornered the gang blocked my escape route, they were drawing weapons mostly knives but one had a chain whip. Great! I got no idea whether it was adrenaline or fear or perhaps a combination of both, but the pain that struck sent me screaming doubled over then writhing on the ground. My god it was painful feeling every single muscle and bone in my body twist, my body was changing I screamed louder to each new wave of agony. When I could finally stand I looked at my hands, then up my arms in slow fashion I looked myself over then my tail flicked. Wait! For starters I had claws I had grown a god damn fluffy tail, my ears were now on top of my head. Not to mention the fact I was covered head to toe in black fur, my legs looked different oooh don't forget the fangs.

I stepped forwards with nothing but a low threatening snarl in my throat, the gang backed up looking like they had second thoughts on attacking me now. A howl broke free it ripped the air like a heated blade, the howl came from me and I had no thought in my head other than to kill these fuckers. Now I was the hunter running after the ones who are now hunted, I got each and every one of them in turn. Disembowling, tearing out their throat I didn't care how I slaughtered them I just knew I wanted to, to be honest I seriously got thrills of joy to end their pathetic existance. I enjoyed killing them to tear them apart to let their blood flow in retribution for their thoughts and actions, I was a wolf a hunter and my first hunt was a good one. While my victory howled over the streets, I actually fed well that night upon human flesh. A taste one can get used to.

Yes its true I killed with dark intent, but I could care less they deserved it. On that night my path took an odd turn, everything around me got darker so much darker than before. Humans are easy to hunt... Hehehehehe

On the streets

You ever tried to survive winter in a city with no shelter? Can you imagine then how it was like for two children, only a mere five years old of age?

Summer came and went at least it was warm apart from the rain storms, then we would huddle together shivering in some alleyway. Any food we got was garbage leftovers from the greedy people, who bought too much and threw the rest away. We both grew accustomed to eating gone off or rotten items, so much so over time that we no longer got sick from it.

The city itself like any other city except for the dark foreboding that could be felt all around, in a way Toxia reminds me of that place I left behind. The buildings were tall they converged to make a concrete jungle, at least you could see the sun and feel its warmth. Streets were grim covered, coated with the essence of pollution from traffic and humans. Nothing like the pollution in Toxia, but it was there as it always is when people gather in one place. When winter arrived we already knew every backstreet every alley, all the places to get the best garbage from and where the hobos hung out. Homeless people are a generous sort offering up any meagre supplies they have, specially to two orphaned kids with no one to turn to and no where to go. We spent the winter huddled around burning trashcans in a bid to remain warm, we constantly moved about the city staying with various groups of tramps.

Not the best existance in the world, but we made it through together. Every year we survived scraping up meals, we got a little stronger and more determined to make our lives better. We took to begging at the age of eight, using our situation to wheedle loose change from passerbys. Sometimes we got enough to buy us decent mood from a take away, once we even had icecream just the once but I never forgot it. Partak was always so cheerful that his presence kept my own spirits up, without him I think I would have just given up and died. In a way I saw him as the stronger of us two, despite him being weak in body he was strong in heart and soul. Come to think of it I should have tried to be more like him, he never got angry at anything and he never hated. He was always polite and gentle and calm, over the years he became a gentleman well only in nature. Suppose if he had the chance or oppurtunity to be one, he would have made a very good one he always acted proper while I was the delinquint.

If ever my brother got angry for any reason at all, his wrath was immense it was unstoppable. One day we had been robbed of the money we had begged for, the robbers beat us up to and we were only eleven. This made Partak angry since they didn't just hurt him they hurt me too, he attacked them with his fists beating them. It was the first time I had seen him lose it like that, but once justice was served he was his usual self... I never saw him in that fury again, not until the day I lost him. My twin.

With each passing night the memories of my past come thick and fast, I wonder if I should take Joah up on the offer of taking something to stop them. So far the only thing holding me back from asking her, is the fact it will dull my senses when I'm awake and right now I need all my wits about me.

Fate, destiny and memory are all such strange things, when you stop to think about it even for a moment....

A bitter taste

A dream of a broken memory.. Made vivid by words of song, a voice says remember what your mother taught you...

In a time when the crescent silver moon hangs in the star lit sky, the Night often sings her sweet song of sadness. A sound so haunting it laments the passing of her sister Day, occasionaly the Wind chimes in as he often does when he is a breeze. For he is never ending and laments both of the sisters passing, Wind loves them both and courts each sister in turn when the fancy takes him. Such it is a whirlwind romance a triangle if you will, that the three of them make wonderous melodies for all the world to hear.

We were simple folk living in a wooden house that father built with his own hands, mother tended to the chickens and cows we kept upon our land. Among the countryside we resided living carefree lives, we knew nothing of technology or gadgets since our parents forsook such things. All we had were the simple tools to till the land to grow our food, for father loved to see things grow produced by his efforts. Oh wonderous vegetables that we had married to meat we rised ourselves, a copulation of hard work on a plate every day for us to consume and we knew we were blessed. So very blessed.

Yet people would tell us we were mad to live so close to the border, you see our land was on the edge of the other territory. No one ever dares to cross in to it because the demons live there, they are evil creatures delighting in the misery of humans for it is humans who called them and abandoned them there. Those creatures were often filled with resentment to happiness for they felt none, the resentment to being tossed aside when their use is over often turned to hate. Such emotion in a thing already evil, will tend to rot and fester in their very core until it explodes. Madness to live near such a place perhaps, but we felt safe for no law breaker dared to come near. Blessed were we.

On the afore mentioned night something terrible stirred, a recent creature had been left upon the demonic land and she was full of vengence. Her master summoned her long ago when she was new to the world, he made her do all sorts of things from murders to sexual favours. Eventually as with all such tales the demoness knew she was stronger than her master, with a curse upon her lips she turned upon him and devoured his soul. How she ended up over the border even she did not know, perhaps a priest sent her there in a bid to be rid of her but the destination was wrong. Some humans say Hell is on Earth, I guess for her that land was it. Her eyes were as red as the flames of Hell, her smile once so innocent now twisted and distorted with malice. She looked across the land where her malicious gaze came to rest upon our small wooden house, with the grace of a cat she prowled towards to it to see what horror she could do.

Inside the four of us sat around our fireplace, our parents in their wooden chairs while my brother and I curled upon the rug. I often found comfort in my twin for he was calm and stable, while myself ever a mischief maker was more chaotic. Partak so much more than just my brother, he was my anchor who balanced my strange nature. I was not a wicked child I had a good heart, mother always said I just couldn't be contained like other people could. I was the fighter and defender of Partak, his condition got him picked on by the other children who lived in town. When ever he was bullied I would be at his side, I guess my mischievious ways to get them back after I fought them off made me gain a reputation as bad. I was never a bad kid, I just liked to make trouble or pull pranks. Strong hearts that are noble make a warrior mother said, never use that to hurt another with dark intent. For then the darkness takes you.... I ramble! The fire with its orange flames danced upon logs, if we stared at them long enough they take on shapes like those of women and their dances become complex. I always liked fire to wonder at how something so warm and inviting, could be such a harmful thing when allowed to feed on what it likes. A destructive force of burning wrath as if angry at being restricted, and once released would cease to be a thing to be admired and instead be fiery death.

A knock on our door stirred us from what ever conversation we were having, we were not expecting visitors especially at this hour of night. Father got up from his chair to open the door to see who it was that disturbed us, he picked up his shotgun for safety just in case a law breaker had got the courage to come here. That was the last time I saw him alive, for in the instant the door opened a clawed hand grabbed him. He was held in place while another such appendage came down upon his head, with a sickening sound of breaking bone and tearing skin his head was ripped off. Blood sprayed our walls red the stink of iron all around us, I clung to my brother as we both screamed with eyes wide in terror. The demoness entered in to our house and mother stood in front of us her arms open in defence, the creature pretty as she was had her looks ruined by her cruel smile. I remember the blackness that surrounded her like a thousand snakes each with a hissing head, they coiled around her whole form like a black guard a hissing army. Mother did not stand a chance in the same way as father she had her life torn from her, we were alone now silently staring up at our destroyer whose hands dripped our parents blood down on us. While she licked the blood off herself becoming distracted with its sweet bitter taste, my twin and I got up and ran for our lives.

Behind us we heard a shriek so terrible it cut us to the bone, looking back just once we saw our house burst in to flame. From the burning wreckage she that demoness walked casually from it, her eyes glowing red and her fangs bloodied she was coming after us. No matter how hard we ran were only young and small, she was not that far behind us and gaining with each minute. We found a sewer pipe that we crawled in to, to hide from her and perhaps be spared from death. It stank the smell was prutrid, dirty slimey water dripped steadily on our clothes. We huddled together shaking, terrified out of our wits as the demoness reached us but did nothing. She could not get in to the pipe so she waited, but her attention span was short and thus it was our saviour when finally she wandered off.

Crawling back out of the pipe stinking of sewage we knew we were alone, two children with no family two orphaned brats. Holding hands we walked and walked not caring where we went, we found a city much bigger than the town we were used to. Looking at one another we were determined to live, mother taught us to live each day to the full. We were thankful to be alive. Together we walked on to the city streets, together we would find a way to survive....

I woke...

Trembling I brushed my hair out of my eyes, I found myself to be covered in a cold sweat. Nightmares had always been a problem since my first torture, these were more real seeming after I sang those words...
And a voice says "Remember what your mother taught you". Then I recall that's what the fortune cookie Lorne read to me had said.

Human gone werewolf gone demon

It's ironic how life turns out to want the power, of the one thing that tore up my existance as I knew it. As I say that's life and here I am in Toxia, a newly made demon a daughter of Janvier.

So whats a new demoness to do?

Make trouble of course!

Though the trouble yesterday wasn't my doing the Toxian Wraith named Dimentox stirred, and a bunch of people went to the church graveyard to dig up Dime's ashes. They wanted to resurrect him. According to them it would stop his troubles but, Vladdemir has Dime's powers so I didn't see the point.

Why bring someone back powerless?

How do I know what happened?

Dime told his story at the Toxian radio station to two KA one of which he had beaten up, I was just there to watch Dime kick ass. He seemed sad and bitter that he was stuck as a Wraith, I guess anyone who been without a body long as he has would be.. Stay around him long enough and you can feel, this deep desire for revenge boil down in his core.

I need to find out what happened after I passed out from tiredness and boredom in the graveyard. Not the best place to sleep if you ask me which, you didn't but I said it anyway.

As a sidenote I miss talking to JonnyG, I don't deserve him as a friend I did mess with the blood pool. I did however take my punishment as a responsible person should, and showed that I made a mistake for trying to prank the KA. I still say they forgot the salt.

The sparring between Dio and I is now 4-6, thats four wins to me and six losses. He can't wait to win this little bet of ours and whip me in to submission, I like to be a challenge and I don't break so easily. Forever wild forever free, right?
